We are pleased to welcome Erin Reeve as our new Foundation Manager. Erin will be working to fulfil The St Margaret’s College Foundation’s vision of creating a legacy for the future, and its purpose in providing sustainable financial support to the College in partnership with our community.
Erin joins us from the Christ Church Cathedral Reinstatement Trust, where she has led the fundraising campaign for the Christ Church Cathedral Reinstatement Project. She has a passion for the benefits of independent school education and has considerable experience in the sector. She is a former committee member of Educate Plus (NZ), a network of professionals working in the education sector. Other experience includes fundraising for a chapel at University of Canterbury independent hall of residence College House, together with direct experience of working with independent schools.
Diana Patchett, Executive Principal of St Margaret’s College and a Foundation Trustee, is delighted to welcome Erin to the Foundation.
“Erin has a deep appreciation of the benefits and opportunities independent girls’ schools provide to their communities, and shares our ambition to realise generations of young women who will make their mark on a changing world. We are grateful for the ongoing support of our community, whose contributions make a significant difference to the course of our students’ lives, both past, present and future.”
Nick Pfahlert, Chair of the Foundation Trustees, says Erin is a proven and capable fundraiser with strong ties to the education sector and the Anglican Church.
“We rely on the ongoing generosity of our valued business and donor community and are looking forward to working with Erin to ensure that we can continue the Foundation’s work, ensuring SMC girls realise their potential in a supportive and well-resourced environment.”
Established in 2009, The Foundation generates and stewards gifts and donations from the SMC community. It supports the College in its commitment to deliver the best independent girls’ school education in New Zealand.
