Aimee Taylor Wins Prestigious Hospitality Scholarship

Date: 15th January 2018

Congratulations to Aimee Taylor (Year 13, 2017) who has been awarded a $28,000 scholarship to attend the International College of Hotel Management (ICHM) in South Australia. Aimee was the only New Zealand winner of the five Australasian scholarships on offer and will head to the ICHM campus in July to begin a four year programme of study which will see her complete a Bachelor of Business (Hospitality Management) and Bachelor of International Hotel Management (Swiss Hotel Association). The programme includes course work, industry placement and proficiency in a second language. The placement portion of the course could take Aimee anywhere in Australia in her first year and anywhere in the world during the final three years of the programme. Aimee is looking forward to studying at the College and gaining a wider knowledge of the hotel industry. She was inspired to apply for the scholarship after experiencing first-hand what ICHM had to offer, when she stayed at the campus in 2016 as part of Career Week. Being born in Melbourne Aimee has always felt a deep connection with Australia and is excited about returning for study.

ICHM is the Asia-Pacific campus of the Swiss Hotel Association and is regarded as one of the best hotel schools in the world – we look forward to following Aimee’s journey and wish her all the best for her studies.
