Our students are given the opportunity to develop their public speaking skills as part of their English teaching and learning programme, through our annual Myers Cup competition.
At the finals, our students heard from ten brave girls in Year 6-13 as they spoke on a broad range of topics.
Congratulations to Soraya Johnston-Storrier (winner of the Lyn Kennedy Cup), Bridie McCormick, Amelia McAuliffe and Evelyn McCormick (winner of the Toomer Cup), Margot Heller, Emily Davis and Orla Miller (winner of the Gossett Cup), and Iliana Sarri, Emma Ford and Bridget Rooney (winner of the Myers’ Cup).
Hosted by our Head and Deputy Head girls, Emma Mason and Hannah Wylie, led by Head of English Deborah Matheson, we were privileged to be joined by guest judge Professor Ursula Cheer of the University of Canterbury. Congratulations to all who participated in the programme.
