Meet the Board

Chairman: Albert Brantley
Dr Greg Anderson
Trained as an engineer and geologist, over the past 40 years Albert has lead the construction and operation of large scale oil and gas, mining and utility assets throughout the world. Since 2016 he has been the Chief Executive of Ōtākaro Limited, the Crown Company responsible for the Anchor Project programme for central Christchurch, and was the Chief Executive of Genesis Energy for eight years before that.

Most of Albert’s experience has required significant senior level political, regulatory and environmental management, as well as multicultural community and stakeholder relations management.

Albert has provided board level governance for the past 20 years, and is presently an Independent Director of Ballance Agri-Nutrients, Waimakariri Irrigation Limited, serves on the Independent Assessment Board for the Excellence Programme of Local Government New Zealand and has been co-opted as a Director of Independent Schools of New Zealand.

Albert’s daughter Sarah has attended St Margaret’s College since Year 9. As well as serving as the Trust Board Chair, Albert is a member of the Trust Board’s finance and property committees.

  Greg and his wife Nicola have two children, including Ruby who has attended St Margaret’s since Year 7. Greg is the principal at Northington Partners, a corporate finance and investment banking firm with offices in Auckland and Christchurch. He also has interests in a number of other companies, including an early stage SaaS business focused on treasury management software. Greg is a member of the finance committee.

Richard Carey
Fiona Bush, BPhEd, Dip Tcg.
Richard is married to Toni, and they have four children, with their youngest Paige in Year 9 at St Margaret’s. Richard is a Managing Partner at Ernst & Young. He is qualified both as a Chartered Accountant and a Solicitor. He brings deep commercial knowledge to the Board. Richard is the Chair of Finance.   Fiona and her husband David live north of Cheviot where they are involved in a number of farming enterprises. They have three daughters who are all boarding at St Margaret’s College at present; Rebecca in Year 13, Harriet in Year 11 and Charlotte in Year 10. Fiona brings experience to the board in the area of curriculum and student achievement, after a number of years teaching middle and secondary Physical Education and Health. She also has considerable experience on the other side of the fence in school governance. She is a member of the compliance committee and also the board representative on the PFA and Synod.

Vicki Green
Peter Flannery
Vicki is a mother of three boarding daughters and General Manager of her own large retirement business. Vicki is one of life’s busy people who joins our team offering strong business aptitude and well developed statutory compliance skills   Peter has had two daughters attend St Margaret’s College with his daughter Maddi currently in Year 13 at St Margaret’s. He runs a successful investment analysis and strategic financial planning business. Peter’s expertise complements our Finance Committee where he aims to help us strike the delicate balance between running a ‘tight fiscal ship’ and seizing opportunities.

Kat McCorkindale
Cindy McEwan
Kat’s career has centred in digital and marketing senior leadership roles with varied business management experience having established a number of companies in marketing, digital, retail and hospitality. An Old Girl of St Margaret’s College, Kat attended the school from 1999 to 2002. She graduated with a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Canterbury University in 2013 and is a member of the Institute of Directors.   Cindy has over 20 years of experience in brand and advertising roles in London and Christchurch. For the past three years she has managed her own strategic marketing consultancy.  She is married to Richard and has two daughters, one who is in Year 9 at St Margaret’s and one in Year 6 at Elmwood Normal Primary.
