The New Zealand Herald has named St Margaret’s College the top girls’ sporting school for 2025, following three national championship wins in hockey, rowing, and volleyball.
“A staggering sporting year,” the Herald reports. “St Margaret’s is a school of around 800 girls – but that’s across Years 1–13. That makes their success even more impressive.”
In addition to national championship wins by our 1st XI hockey team, our U18 eight rowers in the Jubilee Levin Cup, and our Senior A volleyball team, St Margaret’s has also claimed regional and South Island championships in cricket, cycling, equestrian, football, netball, tennis, and triathlon in 2025.
