The St Margaret’s College Foundation Board appointed new Chair Ingrid Taylor at their AGM on Tuesday 20 June.
Ingrid Taylor is an SMC Old Girl and a past parent. She has been a member of the Old Girls’ Committee and has sat on the Trust Board and we are now pleased to announce her as the new SMC Foundation Chair.
A partner in the law firm Taylor Shaw, Barristers, and Solicitors, Ingrid is committed to working with her Trustees to achieve the goals agreed upon in their strategic plan.
Ingrid comments:
“As a result of my own education at St Margaret’s, I was privileged to leave the school with a love of learning and the insight to appreciate what an excellent education affords you for your life moving forward. In educating my own daughter through St. Margaret’s I could see the transformation and development of a young girl who enters the system and who leaves being able to “live and lead”.
“I am passionate about ensuring that there is a strong financial nest egg for our school for the centuries to follow. Our girls are offered the highest quality of education both academically, culturally, physically and socially. I am committed to working alongside the SMC community of parents, Old Girls and the Trust Board, so the Foundation can position itself with long-term financial stability to enhance and grow the offering of a world-class and well-rounded education for girls.”
Diana Patchett, Executive Principal of St Margaret’s College says:
“Ingrid has made a significant contribution to St Margaret’s, as a student, a parent, member of the Old Girls’ Committee, and in her role on the Foundation board, and she is a great example of the strong support St Margaret’s enjoys from our community. We are delighted that Ingrid is taking on the Chair of the Foundation to continue to help us build a legacy for the future, and we would like to thank our previous Chair, Nick Pfahlert, for his contribution to the board.”
