Catch your wave: inspiring leadership in 2025

Our 2025 school theme, Catch the Wave – He waka eke noa, sets a dynamic tone for the year ahead, inviting students to embrace optimism, passion, spirit, diversity, whanaungatanga, and courage. With a focus on leadership, this theme encourages students to embody values that uplift the entire school community.

Year 6 students are leading the charge by demonstrating kindness and responsibility. As the senior members of the Junior School, they are finding their place as role models, guiding younger students with encouragement and compassion. Whether helping in the classroom or organising playground activities, they are learning that leadership begins with small, thoughtful actions.

In the Middle School, Year 10 students are rising to the challenge by exploring opportunities to collaborate and lead within their teams and projects. Their focus on working with people and fostering inclusivity reflects the school’s spirit of diversity and courage. They are encouraged to step out of their comfort zones, showing others what it means to lead with passion and purpose.

For Year 13 students, leadership takes on a broader, community-focused dimension. As the eldest in the school, they are committed to supporting their younger sisters, modelling responsibility and resilience. Their leadership reflects optimism and unity, inspiring everyone to catch the wave and ride it toward success.
