Congratulations to St Margaret’s College students on their outstanding academic achievements.
With an impressive 100% pass rate for NCEA Level 3, 99% for Level 2, and two International Baccalaureate (IB) top scholars, our students’ results place St Margaret’s College among the top-performing schools in New Zealand and beyond, and reflect the breadth of pathways now open to our students as they look to a future here in New Zealand or overseas.
Diana Patchett, Executive Principal says:
“I am so proud of our students and their achievements. Their success is a reflection of both their hard work and the outstanding support provided by our professional, dedicated teaching staff, who equip every girl for future success.”
“Academic excellence continues to be a defining feature of St Margaret’s College. This year’s results again highlight the effectiveness of our Senior School Foundation Diploma, the Year 11 pathway we introduced in 2022 to replace NCEA Level 1. The programme is tailor-made to meet the specific learning needs of our girls and to prepare them thoroughly for success in IB and national qualifications.”
Students at St Margaret’s College enter Senior School with the strong academic grounding and confidence provided by our Middle School. Our Year 10 students leave Middle School having significantly outperformed national results in literacy and numeracy, with a pass rate of over 94% for mandatory Literacy and Numeracy co-requisites, introduced nationally in 2024.
Please note: NCEA results published by NZQA may differ, as NZQA and the Ministry of Education report NCEA achievement based on total student enrolment rather than the number of students who undertook NCEA in a school. This excludes the achievements of students who pursue the IB instead of NCEA.
