Chessie Henry is an SMC Old Girl and is the author of We Can Make A Life, a family memoir recently awarded the E.H. McCormick prize for General Non-Fiction at the 2019 Ockham New Zealand Book Awards.
Her personal essays have been published on The Spinoff and The Wireless, and she currently works as a Content Specialist for Christchurch social change agency Brown Bread. She has an MA in Creative Writing from the International Institute of Modern Letters, and lives in Lyttelton.
