The inaugural Art Exhibition & Sculpture Garden will showcase over 200 works of art by nearly 100 New Zealand artists. All art work is for sale and will include pieces by Gretchen Albrecht, Philip Trusttam, sculptor Rebecca Rose, landscape painter Callum Arnold (Head of Visual Arts at St Margaret’s College), as well as up-and-coming artists and students from the University of Canterbury and Ara.

 

The exhibition is being curated by Penelope Jackson, well known art historian, curator and writer. Penelope is giving a public talk, Collecting: A Private Journey’ on Saturday 27th August 2016 at 2.00pm in the Charles Luney Auditorium.

 

 

The event is being organised by the school’s Parents’ and Friends’ Association to raise funds to support the campus rebuild.
